SPECIAL VISIT FROM BLADES, THE MASCOT FOR THE BRUINS!!
TUESDAY, JULY 22ND, 2PM.
Join us on Tuesday, July 22nd at 2 PM for an afternoon of stories, games, photos, prizes, and more fun surprises with Blades. Don’t miss this unforgettable summer event at HPL!
On Tuesday, July 22nd, Blades will join readers for a story, some game day fun, and crafts. Participants can design and make their own Bruins fan button, take pictures at the ice rink photo station, and more. A special library poster featuring Bruins player Jeremey Swayman will also be available.
We will also be joined by the UMass Men's Hockey team for this event!
The Hadley Public Library is excited and honored to have be one of just 12 public libraries from over 1,500 applicants by the Boston Bruins and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) to host a special summer reading visit from Bruins mascot Blades.
PARKING WILL BE LIMITED! Additional parking is available at the Russell School and Hopkins Academy.

Join Michael Sjostedt of Cut Loose Collage Workshops for a fun and creative session where you'll transform blank bookmarks into cool collages—that you can keep or gift. All skill levels are welcome, and no experience is needed—just bring your creativity and enjoy connecting with fellow makers in a relaxed, stress-free environment.

PLAYFUL ENGINEERS FAMILY PROGRAM: CHAIN REACTIONS & CREATIVE CONTRAPTIONS!

Come join Jay Mankita of Playful Engineers as he leads us through a hands-on, STEAM focused family workshop.
Participants will design, build, test, and play with chain reactions and creative contraptions, like Rube Goldberg Machines, paper constructions, domino towers, exploding popsicle-stick snakes, and other awesome engineering explorations.
